Invitation to Worship
Jesus Christ, whose reign lasts forever,
Come, let us praise and adore!
O Holy One, + open my lips,
~And my mouth shall proclaim your praise.
Proclaim to the nations: God’s eternal reign;
~Christ will judge the peoples with fairness!

Psalm 96/97
Adonai reigns! Let Earth rejoice,
let all the coastlands be glad.
God is wrapped in the thunderclouds,
enthroned on justice and right.
Fire marches on ahead
burning up all resistance;
Overhead God’s lightening flashes,
Earth trembles to see it.
Mountains melt like wax
before Adonai, who rules over all.
The skies proclaim this justice–
a glory all people can see.
Those who serve mammon are fools,
they brag about their worthless gods.
All spirits, worship Adonai!
Zion hears and is glad.
The cities of Judah rejoice

READING Ephesians 4:15-16
Let us profess the truth in love and grow to the full maturity of Christ the Head. Through Him the whole body grows, and with the proper functioning of the members knit firmly together by each supporting ligament, builds itself up in love.

Adonai, our God will give him the throne of David his ancestor,
and he shall rule over the house of Jacob forever,

Blessed + be Adonai, the God of Israel,
Who visits this people to set us free
Raising for us a sign of salvation
In the house and family of David.
God promised throughout past ages
In words of holy prophets
To save us from our enemies,
And from the control of our oppressors.
Adonai favored our ancestors
And remembered the sacred covenant.
The pledge to Abraham and Sarah

O Jesus, You are our savior and our shepherd,
– lead your people to life-giving pastures.
O Good Shepherd, you laid down your life for your sheep.
– rule over us, that in your care we shall want for nothing.
O Glory of Creation, your reign extends over all the earth.
– restore all creation in yourself.
O Lover of Truth and Justice, you came into the world to bear witness to the truth.
– may all men and women come to acknowledge the justice of your love.
O Model and Master, you have brought us into your kin-dom.
– grant that we may be holy and blameless before you this day.

O Holy One, you have revealed in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus the immeasurable love which is the power and glory of your reign on Earth as in Heaven. May all who confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, follow him in sharing food with the hungry, healing the sick, welcoming immigrants and strangers, visiting those in prison and restoring the beauty and health of your creation; For Yours is the power and glory of love both now and forever. Amen.
May the blessing of Christ, who rules with love over all creation, bless us + this day with his joy and his peace ~Amen
