Invitation to Worship
Let us praise ADONAI whom the angels praise,
to whom the cherubim and seraphim cry out and sing:
“Holy, holy, Holy LORD, God of power and might!”
O Holy ONE + open my lips,
~And my mouth will proclaim your praise.
The Ruler of the Angels, the God of Hosts,
~Let us gather now to glorify!

What Singers, these, around the throne: As bright as blazing bronze to see;

Mysterious Messengers of God: Embodiments to face our race.

Psalm 137/138
I thank you Adonai with all my heart,
you have heard the words of my mouth.
Before the angels I’ll bless you,
and adore before your holy temple.
I thank you for your faithfulness and love
which excel all we ever knew of you.
On the day I called you answered;
you increased the strength of my soul.
You stretch forth your hand and save me,
your hand will do all things for me.
Your love, my God, is eternal;
discard not the work of your hands.
Glory to the One and to the Word
And to the Breath of Love;

An angel stood by the altar, holding a golden censer;
a large quantity of incense was given to him,
And clouds of incense rose from the hand of the angel in the presence of the Lord.
Thousands upon thousands waited on him, and myriads upon myriads stood before him.

I tell you most solemnly
you will see heaven laid open and, above the Human One,
the angels of God ascending and descending.
Blessed + be Adonai, the God of Israel,
Who visits this people to set us free
Raising for us a sign of salvation
In the house and family of David.
God promised throughout past ages
In words of holy prophets
To save us from our enemies,
And from the control of our oppressors.
Adonai favored our ancestors
And remembered the sacred covenant.
The pledge to Abraham and Sarah
Is now renewed for us;
That freed from the grip of our foes
We might worship without fear
And be both just and holy
For the rest of our days.
And you, child, called “prophet of the Most High,”
Will go ahead to prepare the way,
By teaching this people of salvation
Through forgiveness of their sins.
For the loving compassion of the Holy One
As the Rising Sun will shine upon us

Our Father …

In you, Adonai, is the Source of Life,
~In your Light we shall see light.
Send forth your light and your truth

Fill us each morning with your constant love,

Closing Prayer & Blessing
God of Mystery and Majesty, you sent your Archangels, Michael, Raphael and Gabriel, to bring strength, healing and good news to your people. May all who celebrate this great feast hear the good news of your coming among us, be healed of our blindness, and be strengthened to work with all your angels and saints in building up your reign on earth as it is in heaven, now and forever. Amen.
May the God of Life, the Praise of all the angels and the Joy of all creation + bless our days and our deeds with peace. ~Amen.
