SERVICE OF LIGHT
Christ our Light!
~Thanks be to God!
Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created, alleluia!
~And you shall renew the face of Mother Earth, alleluia!
Hymn for Novena to the Holy Spirit
Come, Holy Spirit live in us
With God the Abba and the Son,
And grant us all the grace we need
To sanctify and make us one.
May mind and tongue made strong in love,
Your praise through the world proclaim,
And may that love within our hearts
Set fire to others with its flame.
Most Blessed Trinity of Love
For whom the human heart was made,
To you be praise in timeless song
And everlasting homage paid. Amen.
Text: Nunc, Sancte Spiritus St. Ambrose, alt. Tune: VENI CREATOR, L.M. Mode VIII
SERVICE OF THE WORD
PSALMODY
Antiphon
Be assured, I am with you always
to the end of time. Alleluia! Alleluia!
Psalm 131/132 B
Adonai swore an oath to David;
and will not go back on this word:
“A son, the fruit of your body,
will I set upon your throne.
If they keep my covenant in truth
and my laws that I have taught them,
their descendants too shall rule
on your throne from age to age.”
For Adonai has chosen Zion;
has desired it for a dwelling:
“This is my resting-place for ever;
here have I chosen to live.
I will greatly bless her produce,
I will fill her poor with bread.
I will clothe her priests with salvation
and her faithful shall ring out their joy.
There David’s stock will flower;
I will prepare a lamp for my anointed.
I will cover oppressors with shame
but on him my crown shall shine.”
Glory to the ONE and to the WORD
and to the BREATH of Love.
As always before
so now and evermore. Amen.
Be assured, I am with you always
to the end of time. Alleluia! Alleluia!
READING I Corinthians 6:19-20
Do you not know that your body is a temple of the holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you have been purchased at a price. Therefore, glorify God in your body.
Responsory
R. I will send the Comforter to you, the Spirit of truth, alleluia, alleluia! V. The Spirit will declare to you the things that are to come * alleluia, alleluia! V. Glory to the Abba and the Word and the Holy Breath of Love.
GOSPEL CANTICLE
Antiphon
Abba, I made your Name known to them,
that the love you have for me
may be in them and I in them. Alleluia!
Canticle of Mary
My heart + is radiant with the Lord,
My whole being delights in God my Savior.
All people now will call me blessed
For God has loved this humble handmaid.
The Almighty has shown me great favor
Holy is the NAME,
Whose mercy embraces the faithful,
From one generation to the next.
The mighty arm of God,
Scatters the proud in their own conceit,
Pulls tyrants from their thrones
While lifting up the lowly:
Fills the famished with bounty,
And reveals the emptiness of riches.
Rescues lowly Israel,
Sharing such loving kindness,
As promised to our ancestors
To Abraham and Sarah, and their descendants forever.
Glory to the One and to the Word
And to the Breath of Love
As always before
So now and evermore. Amen
Abba, I made your Name known to them,
that the love with which you loved me
may be in them and I in them. Alleluia!

Holy, Immortal and Mighty God, you have brought joy to the world by raising Jesus from the dead. By the prayers of Mary his Mother, and of all the myrrh-bearing women,
